Ray’s is Rad

February 25, 2011

So what do you do when you’re deep into another wintry February and you haven’t been able to ride your bike in so long that you almost forgot what color it is? You hop in the car and drive 7 hours to Ohio, of course. Why Ohio? Because it’s home to Ray’s MTB, the first indoor mountain bike park in the world! Last weekend was Women’s Weekend at Ray’s, so Kyle, Josh, and Linda rolled out to Cleveland with the PMBA crew to rub elbows with some pro women. We jumped on a couple of bikes and sampled over 100,000 square feet of warehouse filled with skinnies, pump tracks, jump lines, teeters and a xc loop 20 feet in the air. To call this place unbelievable is an understatement. It’s a MTB destination! We packed over 15 hours of riding into the weekend exposing ourselves to more Red Bull, skinny jeans, and mustaches than any one person should have to endure. We left on Sunday feeling exhausted and a little banged up, but were stoked with the news that Ray is planning to build a third park on the East Coast in the near future.

Canoe Ventures Interactive Architecture

February 23, 2011

Canoe Ventures is a company who combines the impact and reach of traditional TV with new technologies and marketing solutions to better connect consumers with brands.  To help customers and clients understand the Canoe Ventures Advance Television Ecosytem, we created an interactive flash application which showcases the relationships between products, customers, and systems.  The user has the option to click through the demo at their own pace, using it as a presentation tool, or the demo can be set to auto play for use at a trade show.

In addition to this project, we’ve also created trade show presentations, interactive TV simulators, and fake commercials for Canoe Ventures.

Metro Dash Virtual Marketing

February 23, 2011

Metro Dash is a race involving 30 different challenging obstacles throughout a football field size area, it’s a fun and challenging way to approach fitness.  We had previously worked with them to create an interactive course map for the race website.  Recently, we designed a few items to use on their Facebook page [above]; a profile picture and a custom graphic to use as their welcome page.  You can view a few pages from the sponsorship packet we put together for them below.  Created as a .pdf to e-mail out to potential sponsors, the document explains more about what Metro Dash is and their vision.

Canoe Ventures Interactive TV Prototype

February 22, 2011

Canoe Ventures is a company who combines the impact and reach of traditional TV with new technologies and marketing solutions to better connect consumers with brands.  We created several flash prototype’s to demonstrate Canoe’s interactive TV product line.  The video above shows Canoe’s Trivia and Polling products in use.  The flash prototype can be run on an HDTV using a remote control to best simulate the user experience of the actual product.

Due to limited availability of licensed content; we created fabricated content and brands for the entire prototype.  To view the Moshun Athleticwear commercial we created, click here.

Detailed wireframes and workflow maps were created prior to visual design and development to define the scope, workflow, and content for every screen.

Moshun Commercial for Canoe Ventures

February 16, 2011

The Moshun commercial was created to be included in an interactive product demo that needed to be filled with fabricated content due to limited licensing rights.  We decided to make a commercial for something we are very familiar with – riding gear!  Everything was created in-house from the logo, brand, commercial concept, storyboard, materials, filming, and editing.

This video is one of the many projects we have created for Canoe Ventures, a company who combines the impact and reach of traditional TV with new technologies and marketing solutions to better connect consumers with brands. Other projects have included interactive simulations, presentation materials, and management portals.

Below you can see the visual storyboard for the commercial and the storyboard for the entire demo the commercial fit into.

David Zaveloff Photography Website

February 9, 2011

David Zaveloff runs a personal wedding photography business based out of Philadelphia and we recently had a chance to work with him to update the look and feel of his website.  The most important aspect of a photography website is, of course, the images [and Dave has no shortage of good ones!].  We made the images the entire focus of the home page, gave the site a gallery page, and designed the blog section at a larger format to showcase the images better.  At the same time we were re-designing the front of the website we tweaked a few things in the backend to make it easier for Dave to upload the images and journal about each individual client.

Maker USA Website

February 1, 2011

Maker USA is a client we’ve been working with since their beginning.  They craft custom wood veneered skateboards, surfboards, and snowboards.  When we were first introduced to their products, and found out they were interested in building a brand from the ground up, we were stoked!  First we started with their logo and identity, then a product brochure, and recently their website.  We approach every website as an extension of the brand and the face of the company we’re working with.  The Maker USA site features a product gallery, information about the boards, and information about each artist behind the artwork.
